Reduced dust compared to regular pebbles VitaLink Clay Pebbles offer strong structural integrity and enable good root aeration and development. They have a lower bulk density than clay pebbles of other brands, which means they are more porous and have a better ability to retain water. Our pebbles are also irregularly shaped, increasing their surface area compared to rounded pebbles thus allowing the plants more contact with nutrient solution.
These premium clay pebbles have a very stable EC and pH, meaning they will not significantly change the pH of your nutrient solution, or leak undesired minerals into it.

Directions for use to get the best results with Hydrocorn and Hydrocorn XL
Rinse and soak Hydrocorn before you use it the first time. Measure the pH value, as new pebbles have a high pH, bring it down with pH-to an appropriate and stable pH.
The recommended pH range is 5.5-6.5, however, this depends on your nutrients.
After each grow (or even during) flush with enzymes to clean.
Always work very clean to prevent infections when using the inert hydroponic substrate.
If you had any disease or infection, disinfect the substrate with a hydrogen peroxide solution. We recommend disinfecting the substrate at least once a year.
When reusing the substrate, leave the small root material in it. A second grow on the same substrate can give you a better result.
We recommend using Gold Label Hydro nutrients on Hydrocorn. These professional hydroponic nutrients quality ingredients facilitate the plant's nutritional uptake process.
If you recycle your nutrients make sure that the pH and EC level stay within range. Work very clean to prevent the spread of pathogens throughout your crop.

Be aware that though the pebbles are very dense, they can float in deep ebb-flow systems. We recommend top watering systems for Hydro. For ebb/flood systems we recommend using our Gold Label Hydrocorn clay pebbles. As the pebbles are round and have a very even shape they leave a lot of space for air in the root system. The closed even pebble makes it hard for the roots to attach, enabling easy cleaning and re-use of your substrate.
