Expanded Clay Pebbles from R 60.00
The best hydroponic growth medium for both novice and expert gardeners is expanded clay pebbles. Our expanded clay pebbles, also known as LECA or Hydroton, are created from organic and sustainable clay and heated to a temperature of 650 degrees Celsius, producing air-filled, lightweight pebbles with a size range of 16 to 25 mm. Expanded Clay Pebbles are the best growth medium for hydroponic and aquaponic systems because they provide the proper mix of air and moisture. Hydroponics, which uses water instead of traditional soil-based growth techniques, is a very effective and environmentally friendly approach to grow plants. Our Expanded Clay Pebbles are an economical and sustainable option for your hydroponic system since they are so simple to use and can be recycled for several growth cycles. Also, they are pH-neutral, ensuring that your plants get the precise nutrients they require to flourish. Just rinse the expanded clay pebbles completely to eliminate any extra dust or dirt before adding the correct amount to your hydroponic pot. Making sure the roots are well buried, place your plant in the stones and give water and fertilizer as necessary. The pebbles' superior drainage and aeration capabilities will keep your plants healthy and growing, and they will also hold in ample moisture. Available sizes: 5L & 50L
Vitalink Clay Pebbles from R 175.00
Unique irregular shape and porosity which increases their surface area. Reduced dust compared to regular pebbles VitaLink Clay Pebbles offer strong structural integrity and enable good root aeration and development. They have a lower bulk density than clay pebbles of other brands, which means they are more porous and have a better ability to retain water. Our pebbles are also irregularly shaped, increasing their surface area compared to rounded pebbles thus allowing the plants more contact with nutrient solution.   These premium clay pebbles have a very stable EC and pH, meaning they will not significantly change the pH of your nutrient solution, or leak undesired minerals into it.   VitaLink Clay Pebbles are ideal for hydroponic systems, including flood and drain, multipot and drip-ring systems, as well as support media for deep water culture. Use VitaLink Hydro MAX nutrients in conjunction to give great results. VitaLink   Clay Pebbles can also be used to mix with other substrates to improve their structure, or to add a drainage layer in the bottom of pots.   Our pebbles have been triple filtered to avoid smaller pebbles and dust, but we advise to wash them prior to use as there may be some dust created whilst they are in transit. Water retention capacity: 10% EC: 0.5 mS/cm² pH: 5.5-7.5   VitaLink Clay Pebbles are available in 10L and 45L bags.   Size | Pallet Quantity10L | 11045L | 60

Gold Label Hydro Round Substrate R 355.00
Gold Label Hydro Round substrate is specifically designed for growing hydroponically. Dutch quality medium for hydroponics. Gold Label Hydro round 8-16 expanded clay pebbles have a very solid outer ceramic layer, which limits the uptake of water. They are ideally suited for intense irrigation hydroponic styles of growing. Be aware that though the pebbles are very dense, they can float in deep ebb-flow systems. We recommend top watering systems for Hydro. For ebb/flood systems we recommend using our Gold Label Hydrocorn clay pebbles. As the pebbles are round and have a very even shape they leave a lot of space for air in the root system. The closed even pebble makes it hard for the roots to attach, enabling easy cleaning and re-use of your substrate.
