Freedom Farms Seed Starter Growing Medium R 169.00
Freedom Farms Seedstarter is formulated in South Africa as a premium germination medium formulated to create the ideal conditions for seed germination. The finer soil matrix, excellent aeration, seedling specific nutrient levels and inoculation with beneficial microorganisms, are the main reasons for the high success rate of the Seed starter. Ingredients: Coco Coir, Fine Vermiculite, Perlite, Volcanic Rock Dust, Bone Meal, Gypsum, Fermented probiotic bran. Volume: 15L Application: – A fine matrix specifically formulated for seed germination – Free from pathogens and weeds – Excellent for all varieties of seeds – Suitable for both inorganic and organic fertilizer amendments Directions of use: Add germination soil to seedling tray and water thoroughly the first time. Plant seeds and water again lightly for seeds to settle. After the first drying cycle, keep the soil moist. Ideal watering pH for Freedom Farms Craft Soils Ideal pH 5.5 – 6.0 Pure coconut coir has a pH between 5.8 – 6.8. A substrate/soil pH of between 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal for plant nutrient uptake under both organic and inorganic fertiliser regimes. Freedom Farms Coco coir is buffered and charged with natural amendments. The high Calcium content of our amendments maintains the pH in the 6.5-6.8 range and will prevent a decrease in pH (substrate acidification) resulting from fertiliser application or waterings at a low pH. The soil pH is therefore buffered against decreasing pH. On the other hand, an incremental increase in pH resulting from tap water (pH 7-8.5) use can cause the soil pH to increase above the optimal range for nutrient uptake. The soil pH is therefore not buffered against increasing pH caused by using un-pH’d tap water. Watering with a pH of 5.5-6.0 will ensure the pH of the soil remains in the optimal range of 5.5-6.5. About Freedom Farms: Freedom Farms Craft Soils are complete, handcrafted* living soils, formulated* for optimal plant growth and performance in South Africa. Optimising our soils for root health is fundamental in achieving this. Perfectly aerated for optimum oxygen exposure to roots, whilst benefiting from the high water-holding capacity of coconut coir pith. A base mineral blend is added to all our soils to ensure long term Calcium and trace element availability as well as pH stability. Our Craft Soils are inoculated with probiotics and together with the naturally high diversity of microbes in worm castings, our soils are teeming with beneficial soil and plant microorganisms. This optimises nutrient cycling (organic nutrients) and suppresses soil pathogens, keeping the root zone healthy. Some soils are also supplemented with organic plant macro- and micronutrients for growers that want to depend less on additional inputs, whilst still reaping the full benefits. Atami Bi Grow Mix R 365.00
Atami Bi Grow Mix is a pre fertilized high-quality substrate. Bi-Growmix is a mix of high-quality peat and coco fibers with a well-balanced composition for optimum development of a wide variety of plants. Bi-Growmix's important feature is the air to water ratio. The gaps in the Bi-Growmix may be filled with water and air. Thanks to the coco fibers, the gaps filled with air take in a higher volume, which allows for more oxygen benefits for the plants. Nutrients are gradually realized and are always available for the plant when needed. The coco fibers allow for root development. As far as the amount of fertilizer, this substrate can be considered as a medium. Bi-Growmix is pre fertilized, and you won't need to add any nutrients for the first weeks of cultivation. Bi Growmix contains coco and peat. The coco has an open structure allowing the roots to develop for optimum nutrient uptake and allow for a healthy, resilient plant.

Freedom Farms Antifragile Craft Super soil R 230.00
Antifragile Craft Super Soil has a few very important notices regarding super-soils. Due to the high nutrient content in super-soils nutrient toxicity can occur. Especially directly after transplanting. The high nutrient levels of super-soils should cover all the nutrient requirements of the plant through both the vegetative cycle and flowering stage. Especially for plants that can handle the Antifragile Super-Soil at full strength. Freedom Farms Antifragile Craft Super Soil Ingredients: Coco coir, premium worm castings, biochar, perlite, vermiculite, organic nutrient blend, insect frass, volcanic rock dust, fine bone meal, gypsum, fishbone meal, blood meal, diatomaceous earth, Freedom Farms Bokashi, humic acid, Epsom salts, Bacillus Thuringiensis (Fungus Gnat larvae prevention), Trichoderma Harzianum (soil-borne pathogen prevention).   About Freedom Farms   Some important points regarding toxicity issues when using Antifragile Craft Super Soil: Mainly for indoor cultivation. Nutrient requirements and uptake range widely with different strains. Many strains will show toxicity issues when first transplanted into the Antifragile Super-soil. Indoor cultivation conditions are more susceptible to nutrient toxicity due to the lower environmental intensity. Indoor facilities with high intensity will have little to no issues. It is recommended to test the Antifragile Super-soil by using half Antifragile and half Classic soil. Add both soil layers separately in either bottom/top order making sure the roots start off in the Classic soil half. With your first watering allow for a good runoff (very important for a full strength Antifragile grow.) Give your plant/cutting a week to adjust to the strong soil and observe the new growth tips. If the symptoms of toxicity persist after a week then apply a 50% runoff flush on your next watering. Do not add nutrients to rectify the symptoms. If the system you are using is working well for you don't change the complete grow to a new soil immediately. It's recommended to get familiar with the new soil by starting small and noticing which strains do well in a particular soil under your unique growing conditions. Outdoor cultivation performs very well with the full-strength Antifragile Super-soil. Remember to read the information on the back of the bag before using it. Antifragile soil will have small adjustments as we receive feedback from our clients. Customers' feedback is very important to us.

Formula 1 Premium Growing Medium R 230.00
Freedom Farms Formula 1 is formulated to give the individual more control of the nutrients within the substrate when compared to the fortified Premium Classic blend. Formula1 produces faster plant growth than other combinations, due to its physical properties and type of fertilizer used in the growing medium. This blend is free of additional nutrients, apart from the base amendment mixture. An ideal fertilizer for this soil would be a water-soluble inorganic mineral nutrient. An initial feed is required with the first watering and subsequent additions according to the plant's requirement. When compared to the Formula1 mix, the Premium Classic has higher active organic matter content, as well as a balanced semi-slow release nutrient component. Formula 1 also drains far quicker than the premium classic medium, which makes it ideal for multi-feed systems. Substrate pH of 6.5. Ingredients: Coco Coir, Worm Castings, Perlite (30%), Volcanic Rock Dust, Bone meal, Gypsum, Fermented probiotic bran. Application: – Container growing – Indoor or Greenhouse cultivation – High-intensity production with automated fertigation – Balanced nutrient solution input essential A runoff or leaching is necessary with every second nutrient application to counter a salt build-up. Feed scheduling for this soil will require more frequent watering if you're looking for accelerated growth. Ideal watering pH for Freedom Farms Craft Soils: Ideal pH 5.5 – 6.0 Our coco coir is buffered and charged with natural amendments. The soil pH is buffered against decreasing pH. The high Calcium content maintains the pH in the 6.5-6.8 range, thus preventing a decrease in pH (substrate acidification) resulting from a nutrient application or watering at a low pH. Consequently, an increase in pH resulting from tap water (pH 7-8.5) use would result in a soil pH increase, above the ideal range for nutrient uptake. Watering at a pH of 5.5-6.0 will ensure the soil remains within the optimal range of 5.5-6.5. Freedom Farms Craft Soils are complete, handcrafted living soils, formulated and optimized for plant growth and performance in South Africa. We add a base mineral blend to all our craft soils to ensure long term Calcium and trace element availability and pH stability. Freedom Farms Craft Soils are comprised of 100% Natural ingredients. They've gone to great lengths to source, formulate, prepare and blend our Craft Soils. *Handcrafted – We do small batches and keep it hands-on to ensure the quality and consistency of our product. *Formulated – The physical and nutritional aspects of our soils are based on specific techniques particular to the requirements of different plant types and/or nutrient management systems.
