Stonewool/Rockwool is recognised the world over as the ideal hydroponics growing substrate. Rockwool is known for it’s quality, consistency and performance against other substrates.
Rockwool is manufactured by melting basaltic rock and spinning the molten mix into fibers which are then air cooled and compressed into the blocks we use today. By adjusting the amount of pressure, the density of the medium is adjusted. The large slabs can be cut into smaller slabs and propagation blocks for easy handling in the hydroponic and horticulture industry.

Our Rockwool Slabs are 1000mm x 150mm x 75mm and come packed with possibilities. You can start your plant in a rockwool cube and transplant it onto your rockwool slab or it can be cut to size for those DIY hydroponic enthusiasts. The rockwool slabs ensure an even distribution of nutrient through out the medium and the horizontal fibres allows you to be in control of the amount of water it holds onto.
